At indi, our mission is to provide individualized wholistic care for medically fragile children.
Joyce Vamja, owner and primary care provider, has spent her whole working time in healthcare. Starting as a pharmacy tech, she spent 7 years learning about medications and how they work. Her last position was in an inpatient pediatric pharmacy. She then spent from 2006 to 2019 with a career in Pediatric ICU's and Pediatric Cardiac ICUs across the country. She became board certified in Pediatric Primary Care and Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with an initial career in a Pediatric Gastroenterology clinic. She had to leave the clinic for family health issues, and moved back to Maryland for her new role in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU as an Acute Care NP. She has been there 5 years now.
